Switch Features

The following list identifies the key features of the switch:
Twenty-four RJ-45 10/100 Fast Ethernet switching ports.
Two RJ-45 10/100/1000 Gigabit Ethernet switch ports, one of which (26T) functions as a
combo port.
One small form-factor pluggable (SFP) GBIC slot (26F) that functions as a combo port.
A combo port is a single port with two physical connections, SFP fiber and RJ-45 copper.
The RJ-45 copper port corresponding to the combo port is the 10/100/1000 autosensing
Gigabit Ethernet switch combo port. The SFP fiber port corresponding to the combo port
is the SFP GBIC slot. If both the RJ-45 copper combo port and the SFP fiber combo port
have devices connected, the device that was connected first takes precedence. In other
words, the combo port functions on a first-come, first-served basis.
The following SFP GBICs are supported:
-
1000BASE-SX (NETGEAR AGM731F)
-
1000BASE-LX (NETGEAR AGM732F)
The switch provides full compatibility with IEEE standards:
-
IEEE 802.3i (10BASE-T)
-
IEEE 802.3u (100BASE-TX, 100BASE-FX)
