Manual programming

[HDD] [RAM] [DVD-R]
Remote control only
You can set your own programming conditions (up to 32
programmes).
Preparation
≥Switch [DVD, TV] (15) to "DVD".
≥Ensure that this unit's clock is set correctly.
≥(Make sure there is sufficient empty space on the disc for the
programme you are going to record plus a little extra.)
Recording to the HDD:
Confirm there is sufficient empty space for recording on the
HDD. (page 26)
Recording to the disc:
Insert a disc that can be written to.
- Check that disc can be recorded on (page 10).
- Ensure the write protect tab is not set to "PROTECT"
(page 87).
- Ensure the disc is not write-protected with DISC
INFORMATION (page 39).
Press [PROG/CHECK] (13).

Specify the recording drive of the standby timer recording.

If you record a programme onto HDD repeatedly everyday or
every week using timer recording, the unit will record the new
programme over the old one.
This is only displayed when "HDD" is selected from "HDD/
DVD" and if you are selecting to record either a daily or
weekly basis in "Date".
For daily recordings, select (Sunday to Saturday), (Monday
to Saturday) or (Monday to Friday).
For weekly recordings, select the appropriate day.

It is possible to enter the title of the programme. (page 35)
Press [ENTER] (10) when you have finished making

changes.
≥To continue programming:
Repeat steps 2, 3, and 4.
Press [PROG/CHECK] (13) or [RETURN] (23).

ªTo put the unit on recording standby
Press [Á, TIMER] (12).
≥Ensure "Á" lights on the unit's display.
≥The unit is not off. To save electricity, turn the unit off by pressing
[DVD, Í] (1).
≥If the unit is turned on when it is in timer recording standby mode,
a message screen will be displayed. When in this state the unit
can be used for playback* and JPEG operations, but it is not
possible to use the tuner on the unit to view television
broadcasts.
* The unit can only play the currently set TV system if the unit is
in timer recording standby mode.
Timer standby is active, only playback is possible.
ªTo change the timer recording programme
1) While the Timer Programme List Screen is being shown, use
[3, 4] (10) to select the programme you want to change, and
press [ENTER] (10) to show the Timer Programme Correction
screen.
≥You may also select programme by inputting a 2-digit
number using the numeric buttons (4).
≥Use [2, 1] (10) to move to the page preceding or following
the one on display.
2) Move through the items with [1] (10) and change the settings
with [3, 4] (10) and press [ENTER] (10).
