Porcelain EnamelCooktop(on some models)
The porcelain
enamel
finish is sturdy
but breakable
if misused.
This finish is
add-resist;rot.
However;
any acidic fl)o(ls
spilled
(such as fruit juices,
tomato
or
vinegar)
should
not be pemfitted
to remain
on the finish.
If acids spill on the cooktop
while it is hot,
rise a dry paper
towel or cloth to wil)e it 11 I)
fight away. _4]/en the StlYlilce has cooled,
wash with soap and _:lm_: Rinse well.
For other
spills such as tilt spatterings,
wash
with soap and water or cleansing

after the surfilce
has cooled.
Rinse well.
Polish with a (h_' cloth.
Be sure all surface units are turned
off before raising the co&top.
Lift-Up Cooktop(onsomemodels)
Some
models
have
a cooktop
that
can be
lifted

The
entire
cooktop

supports
that

is lifted

mild soapy water and a clean cloth, lower

Be careflll not to pinch

fingers.
To lower the cooktop,
push the rods back
and gently lower the cooktop

operation of the range.

Be sure all the controls are turned to OFFendthe
surface units are cool before attempting to remove
them.
To clean the sm_ilce milts, mrn the control
to the highest
setting

To remove the drip pans for cleaning, the

units must be removed
first.

back in.

Rel)lace the dfi l) pan into the recess in the
cooktop.

into the receptacle.
Guide
the surtilce
refit into place so it rests

dishwasher
Donot bend the surface unit plug
terminals.
Donot attempt to dean, adjust or in any
way repair the p/ug-b receptacle.
Drip Pans (on somemodels)
Reinove
the suitilce
milts. Then
lift out the
drip pans.
Place them in a covered
containe_:
Add
1/4 cup ammonia
and let soak several
hom_ or overnight.

The drip pans may also be cleaned
in the
dishwasher:
Clean the area trader
the (hi l) pans often.
Built-up soil, espedally
grease, may catch fire.
Do not cover the drip pans with foil Usingfoil so
dose to the receptacle cou/dcause shock, fire or
damage to the range.
