1. Place the cuff on the arm (preferably the left arm).
2. Press the POWER button.
• When the POWER button is pressed, all of the display symbols will
appear for about one second.
• When the " 0 " is flashing, the device is ready for measurement. If the
mark appears, the cuff has some air trapped in it. Press the exhaust
valve button until "0" appears.
3. Pressurize the cuff by squeezing the rubber bulb.
• Inflate the cuff to 30-40 mmHg higher than your normal systolic value.
The figure on the left of the display shows the current pressure as you
inflate the cuff.
• A buzzer sounds when pressure reaches 160, 200, 240 and 280 mmHg.
4. When pressurization is complete, the automatic exhaust mechanism will
gradually reduce the pressure in the cuff and the
with the current pressure reading on the left and exhaust rate on the right.
• The measurement will not be accurate if the exhaust rate is outside of the
2 to 5 mmHg range.
• Remain still during the measurement. When a pulse is detected, the
mark will flash in unison with the pulse of the person being monitored and
the pressure display will switch to the right side. When the measurement
starts, the buzzer will sound at each pulse.
