MAINTENANCE
Connections
Connections o n pressure washer hoses,gun andspraywand shouldbe
cleanedregularlyand lubricated with non-watersolublegrease.
Adjustable
Nozzle Maintenance
Surging,or pulsingsensation, f elt while squeezing the spraygun
trigger maybe causedby excessive pumppressure. T heprincipal
causeof excessive pumppressure is a nozzle cloggedor restricted
with foreignmaterials,suchasdirt, etc.To correctthe problem,
immediately cleanthe nozzle usingthe tools includedwith your
pressure washerandfollow these instructions:
1.
Shutoff pressure washerandturn off water supply.
2.
Depressurize u nit by squeezing triggerwith wand away from
face.
3.
Remove wand from gun
4.
Useneedleincludedin kit to free anyforeignmaterialcloggingor
restrictingspraytip, seeFigurebelow.
Adjustable Nozzle
Forthe adjustablenozzle, y ou canalsolubricatethe nozzle collar(high-
pressure low-pressure) b yusingnon-watersolublegreaseregularly.
Water Filter Screen
The pressure washer is equippedwith a water inlet filter that prevents
debrisgoing into the pump.If the filter is not kept clean, the flow of
water to the pressure washer will be restrictedand the pumpmay be
damaged.

To cleanthe screen,removequick connectorand removethe filter
screenfromthe pumpinlet.
The high pressurestreamof water thatthis equipmentproduces
can pierce skin and its underlyingtissues, leadingto serious
injuryand possibleamputation.
NEVER repair leakingconnections with sealantof anykind. Replace
o-ringor seal.
GENERAL MAINTENANCERECOMMENDATIONS
Thepressure washerwarrantydoesnotcoveritemsthat havebeen
subjectedto operatorabuseor negligence. T o receivefull valuefrom the
warranty,the operatormustmaintainthe pressure washeras instructed
in this manual.
NOTE:Shouldyou havequestionsaboutreplacingcomponents on your
pressure washer,pleasecall [1] 919-550-3259 for assistance.
All maintenance in this manualshouldbemadeat least onceeach
season.
Before EachUse
1. Check water inlet screenfor damage.
2. Checkhigh pressure hosefor leaks.
3. Checkdetergentsiphoningtubeand filter for damage.
4. Checkspraygun,nozzleextension, a nd nozzles for leaks.
5. Rinseout gardenhoseto flush out debris.
Check High PressureHose
Thehigh pressure hosecandevelopleaksfrom wear, kinking,or abuse.
Inspectthe hoseeachtime beforeusingit. Checkfor cuts, leaks,
abrasions or bulgingof cover,damageor movement o f couplings.If any
of theseconditionsexist, replacethe hoseimmediately.
The high pressurestreamof water that this equipmentproduces
can pierce skin and its underlyingtissues, leadingto serious
injuryand possibleamputation.
NEVER repair highpressurehose.Replaceit.
Replacement hoseratingMUSTexceedmaximum pressure rating
of unit.
2. Rinse filter screenwith warm water until it is free of debris and
blockage.Check for anydamage, r eplaceif damaged.
3. Reinstall s creenandquick-connector i mmediately.
Air Vents
The air ventslocatedon the front and backof the pressure washermust
be kept cleanand free of anyobstructionsto ensureproperair-cooling
of the motorduringoperation.
0-Ring Maintenance
Throughthe normaloperationof yourpressure washer,o-rings, which
keepthe connections of the hosesand spraygun tight and leak-free,
maybecome worn or damaged.Theyshouldbe lubricatedwith non-
water solublegrease.
Check DetergentSiphoningTube
Examine the filter on the detergenttubeand cleanif clogged. T hetube
shouldfit tightly on the barbedfitting. Examine the tubefor leaksor
tears.Replace thefilter or tube if either is damaged.
Check Gunand Nozzle Extension
Examine the hoseconnection to the spraygunand makesureit is
secure.Testthe triggerby pressingit andmakingsureit springsback
into placewhen youreleaseit. Putthe triggerloci<in the on positionand
test the trigger.Youshouldnotbe able to pressthe trigger.
