Unfused Image Troubleshooting Procedure
Step Actions and Questions

1. Replace the paper with fresh, dry paper from an
unopened ream.
2. Print a test print.
Is the problem still present?

Scroll to Fuser Configuration Menu and change the
temperature setting to High for the paper type.
Is the problem still present?

Scroll to Fuser Configuration Menu and change the
temperature setting to Extra High for the paper type.
Is the problem still present?
Is the overall print density within specification?

1. Open the Rear Cover.
2. Remove the Fuser Assembly.
3. Rotate the fuser idler gear manually and inspect the
Heat Roller.
4. Open the fuser jam access cover. Rotate the fuser
idler gear manually and inspect the Pressure Roller.
Are the Heat Roller and the Pressure Roller free
of surface defects and contamination?

1. Open the fuser jam access cover.
2. Rotate the fuser idler gear manually and inspect the
contact between the Heat Roller and the Pressure
Roller along the rotation.
Are the Heat Roller and the Pressure Roller
contacting each other uniformly?

Replace the following, in order, until the defective
component is found:
