• Solution 2:
Some of the devices we tested did not work immediately when selecting the option to use it as a disc drive. If
you run into this problem with your device, try the workaround steps listed below. If you find that this
procedure works, it must be used each time you connect the scanner to the device:
1. Connect the device's USB cable to the device.
2. Connect the other end of the USB cable to the USB port in the back of the scanner.
3. Turn on the scanner.
4. Select the "disc drive" option on your device when prompted.
5. At this time the scanner LEDs just continuously flash.
6. Change the device's USB connection type from the "disc drive" option to the "sync" option.
7. Immediately change the device's USB connection type back to "disc drive".
8. The device should now initialize its storage properly and the scanner LEDs should stop flashing.
