• Message centre: allows you to enter the number of your message
center where your messages reside while the system is
attempting to deliver them.
• Input mode: allows you to set the input mode for your text
messages. Choose GSM Alphabet, Unicode, or Automatic.
Multimedia message (MMS) settings
• Delivery reports: allows you to request a delivery report for each
message sent.
• Read reports: allows you to request a read report for each
message sent.
• Auto-retrieve: allows the message system to automatically
retrieve messages.
• Roaming auto-retrieve: allows the message system to
automatically retrieve message while roaming.
• Creation mode: allows you to select the creation mode:
Restricted, Warning, or Free
– Restricted: you can only create and submit messages with content
belonging to the Core MM Content Domain.
– Warning: the phone will warn you via pop up messages that you are
creating a multimedia message which does not fit the Core MM
Content Domain.
– Free: you may add any content to the message.
Notification settings
• Notifications: allows you to see message notifications on your
status bar.

Email

Your phone's Email application lets you access and manage
multiple email accounts simultaneously in one convenient
location.You can also receive text message alerts when you
receive an important email.
To send and receive email messages through an ISP (Internet
Service Provider) account, or if you wish to use your device to
access your corporate email through a VPN (Virtual Private
Network), you will first need to set up an IMAP or POP account.
IMAP (Internet Message Access Protocol) - This protocol is frequently
used in large networks and commercial settings. MAP4 is the current
standard.
POP (Post Office Protocol) - This protocol is supported by most ISPs
(Internet service providers) and common among consumer applications.
POP3 is the current standard.
You can also send and receive email messages using Internet-
based email services such as Gmail and Yahoo! Mail, or using
Microsoft Exchange Activesync for email, contact, and calendar
synchronization using an Outlook Exchange Server.
