    On a hard floor Roomba works as well or better than a regular vacuum cleaner and on carpet it will do a great job of routi ne cleaning. Roomba will not suck up the dirt embedded deep down in the fibers of a carpet, but if used regularly can clean much of the surface dirt and debris that ordinarily would eventually make its way deeper into the carpet.
