Be sure the controls are turned to OFFand the surface units are cool before attempting to remove them.
Surface Units
Receotaole

To clean the surface
units, turn the
control
to the highest
setting for a
minute.
The coils will burn off any soil.
Toremovea surfaceunit:
To remove the drip pans for cleaning,
the surface units must be removed fi_st.
I,ift the surface unit about 1" above the
drip pan and pull it out.
Donotlift thesurface unitmorethan 1".
If youdo,it maynotlie flat on thedrippan
whenyouplug it backin.
Repeated lifting of the surface unit more
than 1 inch above the drip pan can
permanently
damage the receptacle.
Toreplacea surfaceunit:
Replace the drip pan into the recess in
the cooktop. Make sure the opening in
the pan lines up with the receptacle.
Insert the terminals
of the surface
unit
througll
the opening
in the drip pan and
into the receptacle.
Guide
the surface
unit into place so it
rests evenl):
Donotimmerse thesurfaceunitsin liquidsof
anykind.
Donotcleanthesurface unitsin a dishwasher.
Donotbendthesurfaceunitplug terminals.
Donotattemptto clean,adjustor in anyway
repairtheplug-inreceptacle.
Drip Pans
Remove the surface units. Then lift out
the drip pans.
For best results, clean file drip pans by
hand. Place fllem in a covered container
(or a pktsfic bag) with 1/4 cup _unmonia
to loosen the soil. Then scrub with a
soap-filled scouring pad if necessat T.
Rinse with clean wamr and polish with
a clean soft cloth.
The drip pans may also be cleaned in
a dishwasheL
Clean the area under
the drip pans
often. Built-up
soil, especially
gre_kse,
may catch fire.
Donotcoverthedrippanswith foil Usingfoil
socloseto thereceptacle couldcause shock,
fire ordamageto therange.
Support rod
Be sure all surface units are turned
off before raising the cooktop.
Lift-Up Cooktop
Cleantheareaunderthecooktop often.Built-up
soil,especially grease, m aycatchfire.
To make cleaning
easier; the entire
cooktop
may be lifted up and supported
in the up position.
Be sure all the surface units are unned
off before rMsing the cooktop. The
surface units and drip pans do not need
m
be removed;
however;
you
may remove
one to make raising file cooktop easier.
A support rod will hold the cookmp tap
while you clean underneath
it.
Atker cleaning under file cookmp wifll
hot, soapy wamr and a clean clofll, lower
the cooktop. Be carefltl not m pinch
your fingers.
