INSTALLATION REQUIREMENTS
1. Copier Environment
The installation location should be carefully chosen, because environmental
conditions greatly affect the performance of this machine.
- Optimum environmental conditions -
Temperature : 50 – 86
Humidity: 15 – 90% RH
To avoid possible ozone build-up, make sure to install this copier in large, well ventilated
room ensuring an air turnover of at least 1000 ft
Install on a strong and level base.
The machine must be level within 0.2 inches (5 mm) both front to rear and left to right.
2. Environments to Avoid
Locations exposed to direct sunlight (more than 1,500 lux) or strong light.
Dusty areas.
Areas with corrosive gases.
Areas higher than 6500 ft (2000 m) above sea level.
Areas where the machine may be subjected to strong vibration.
Locations directly exposed to the cool air from an air conditioner or heat from a nearby
heater. (Sudden temperature changes from low to high or vice versa may cause conden-
sation within the copier.)
