V-Chip Unrated Program Block
Selecting this option lets you decide if programs that the V-Chip recognizes as
"unra;ed" can be viewed. Note that "unrated" TV programs may include news,
sports, political, religious, local and weather programs, emergency bulletins,
public announcemvnts,
and programs
without ratings.

Block
Selecting this option lets you decide what channels
can be viewed.

Makes the selected channel vie'_vable.
Block
The front panel and remote control CH (channel)
buttons will tune
only to channels
that you have marked as _Tew. The remote will still rune to
the blocked channel
if you use the digits to access the channel,
but the
channel will be blocked.
Don't Ik)rget to lock parental controls after you change the status of Cha*mel
Block. If you do not, the channel block will not take el'li,ct.

Front Panel Block
Selecting this option lets you block (disable)
or unblock (enable)
the TV's t_)nt
panel. The remote still tunes to any channel,
t,Yont Panel Block can:

Keep children from watching TV when the parent is not present.
•
Keep young children from playing with the buuons.
(When using this as a Parental Control method, you should remove access to
any remote that is capable of operating
the television while you have the front
panel blocked.)

Selecting this option lets you lock and unlock parental controls senings using a
password.
If yon do not

for V-Chip,

If you ff>rget your password,
simultaneously
press and hold MENL on the
television and volume down on the remow l_)r 3 seconds. Nothing appears
on
the screen, Parental Controls simply unlock and you can re-enter a password
via
Lock Parental
C'ontrol._.
