Use the LCD monitor or viewfinder
to see what you are playing back.
Use the LCD Monitor
• Make sure the monitor is open 45 °.
The viewfinder turns off.
• Tilt the LCD monitor 180°up and
around or 90 ° down.
• Adjust the brightness of the image
by turning the BRIGHT control.
• Adjust the speaker volume with the
VOLUME control.
Use the Viewfinder
• Make sure the monitor is closed
and locked. The viewfinder
turns on.
• Adjust the viewfinder for a com-
fortable viewing position.
• Turn the eyepiece focus control to
adjust the focus of the viewfinder
for your vision.
5. Press the PLAY/PAUSE button to
begin playback.
• The • indicator appears in the
viewfinder or on the LCD monitor
during playback.
• If necessary, adjust tracking.
• During playback, use the playback
features on the following pages.
6. Press the STOP button when you
are finished.

During playback, streaks might appear in
the playback picture. Press the MENU
dial in to activate manual tracking. Rotate
it up or down to move the streaks up or
down and out of the picture.
• During stop-action playback, rotating
the MENU dial while in manual
tracking might reduce picture "jitter"
r_
(picture bouncing up and down). Some
"jitter" is normal.
Press the MENU dial in again to turn
automatic tracking back on. AT flashes in
the viewfinder or on the LCD monitor
during automatic tracking.
Note: The tracking buttons might have no
effect on tapes recorded on other camcorders
or VCRs.
