I To reserve the program
I
Press the PGM button during
normal
playback.
The unit enters program mode and you can program while the
song is playing back.Program
play starts when either the current
track finishes playback or •
is pressed. Pressing
when the
program indicator is lit also starts program playback.
Programming
a pause
]
Inserting a pause in your program can be very useful when carrying
out recording. Press II instead of entering a track number.
"PAUSE"
appears in the display window.
For example, when recording on both sides of a cassette tape,
if you program a pause after the last track to be recorded on
the first side, program playback will pause at that point to allow
you to switch tape sides. To resume program playback after the
player enters pause mode, press II.
NOTES:
A pause can be programmed
only when the program procedure
is performed
under stop mode.
a A pause cannot be programmed
at the beginning of a program
(P-01), nor can two pauses
be programmed
one after the other.
A pause inserted in a program is counted as one step.
I To erase a programmed
step

CLEAR
In the program mode, press CLEAR.
The last program step is erased and the contents
of the previous
program step are displayed (for 5 seconds during playback)•
NOTE:
Tracks preceding the currently playing track cannot be erased during
program playback.

control unit. The programmed disc and track numbers are displayed
and that program is played back• In the second programming
step
or beyond, the previous step can be confirmed
by pressing the

button of the main unit or the _
button of the remote
control unit.
• When an entire disc is programmed.
For example, if all the tracks
on disc number 8 have been programmed,
"8-01" is displayed,
not "8-AL".

mode by any of the following
methods.
In the stop mode, press I1.
