Otherwise water may getinand damage the camera.
• Avoid o pening thebattery/card and terminal covers when n ear t he
waterside orwith wet h ands. Wait until the camera iscompletely dry before
changing the battery ortheSD Memory Card. Avoid c hanging the battery
orcard where t he camera islikely t oget w et o rdirty, and make s ure that
your h ands aredry.

• Toenhance the waterproof performance ofthe camera, the front ofthe lens
isprotected by glass. Asany dirt o rwater onthe glass w ill a ffect the quality

• Do not u se the camera deeper than 10 meters underwater. Do not u se the
camera underwater formore than 120 minutes consecutively.

exceed itsoperating temperature orcause t he speaker ormicrophone to
become blocked with sand.
• Avoid s ubjecting the camera tosubstantial vibrations, shocks, orpressure
asthis may cause a loss inwaterproof performance. Ifthe camera is
subjected tosubstantial vibrations, shocks orpressure, take your c amera
toyour n earest PENTAX Service Center and have itchecked.
• Avoid g etting sunscreen orsun oilonthe camera asitmay cause
discoloration ofthe surface. Ifany oil g ets onthe camera, wash itoff
immediately with warm water.
• Sudden and extreme changes intemperature may cause c ondensation to
form inand onthe camera. Keep t he camera inabag orcase t oreduce the
difference intemperature.
