INSTALLATION
Connections general

For playingback on the CDRecorderand/or the CD Player
deck,the following output connectionsare available:
- Digital coaxial output (CO& CO-R)
Analogueoutput (CO& CD-R)
We recommendthat these be connectedto the TAPE or CD-R
inputon your amplifier.
For external recording,the following input connectionsare
available:
- Digital optical input
- Digital coaxial input
- Analogue input
Forplayingback on the CDRecorderandCO Playerdecks
separately(DUALmode),the following output connectionsare
available:
- Digital coaxial output (CD)
- Analogue output(CD)
We recommendthat these be connectedto the CDinput on
your amplifier.
The connectionsto be made dependupon the possibilities
your audio equipmentoffers• Pleaserefer to the user manuals
for your otheraudio equipmentfirst.
Digital recordings,either optical or coaxial, will give the best
performancein terms of audio andversatility (e.g. auto-track).
(Thedigital optical connectionis less sensitive to external
disturbances)•
If your equipmentdoes not allow for digital connections,the
high quality Analogue/Digital Converteron the CD
Recorder/Player will ensureexcellent audio performance
when recordingsare made from an analoguesource.
Playbackvia the digital coaxial output of the CD
Recorder/Player g ives the best audio performance.
If your equipmentdoesnot offer digital connectionsthe high
quality Digital-Analog-Convertorof the CDRecorder/Player
ensuresa high sound quality via the analogue output•
We recommendthat both digital and analogueconnectionsbe
made,sothat analogue recordingscan be made when digital
recordingis not possible•
The mostcommonways of connectingthe CDRecorder/Player

This connection must be establishedfor the play-backCD
Recorderdeck and for the CDPlayerdeck )cable(_)
Cable(_ is used only if you want to makerecordingsfrom an
external analogue source•
Usethe audio cablessupplied•Connectthe red plugs to the
R sockets,andthe white plugsto the L sockets,

the ANALOGUEIN plug on the CDRecorder/Player and the
LINE-OUT or TAPE-OUT plug on an amplifier.
Note: For recordingdirectly from a CDplayer the analogue
input of the CDRecorder/Player should be connectedto
the analogue output of the CDplaye_
2 For playing back,connect Cable0 to the ANALOGUE OUT
plugs on the CD Recorder/Player andthe INPUTplugs on an
amplifier, e.g. TAPE IN, CD-Ror AUX.
Note: Never use the PHONOinput
