sew
straight
stitching
lines
3/8"
apart
across the area to be smocked.
Knot
the threads
along
one edge.
Pull
the bobbin
threads
and distribute
the
gathers
evenly.
Secure
the threads
at
the
other
end.
Sew
the
decorative
stitch
between
the gathering
stitches.
Pu!l out the gathenng
stitches.
NOTE.
Loosen
the
top
thread
tension
to
make
gathering
easier.
