Usingthe self-cleaning oven. ge oom
Wipe up heavy soil on the oven
bottom.
Before a Clean Cycle
We recommend venting your kitchen
wifll an open window or using a
ventilation fan or hood during file
first self-clean cycle.
Remove broiler pan, broiler grid, all
cookware and any aluminum foil flom
the oven.
NOTE:
If your oven is equipped Mth shiny,
siNe>colored oven shelves, remove
diem before you begin file self-clean
cycle.
If your oven is equipped Mth gray
porcelain-coated oven shekes, flley
may be left in fl_e oven ducing the
self-dean cycle.
The shiny, siNe>colored oven shelves
(on some models) can be self<leaned,
but flley Mll darken, lose flleir luster
and become hard m slide.
Soil on file flont flame of the range
and outside file gasket on tile door
will need m be cleaned by hand. Clean
these areas with hot wam_; soap-filled or
plastic scouring pads or cleansers such
as Soft Scrubq Rinse well with clean
wamr and dry.
Do not clean the gasket. The fiberglass
mam_-iM of file oven door gasket cannot
withstand abrasion. It is essential for the
gasket m remain intact. If you notice it
becoming worn or flayed, replace it.
Wipe up any heaxT spillovers on tile oven
bottom.
Make sure tile oven light bulb cover is in
place and tile oven light is off'.
IMPORTANT'. The healfll of some birds
is exnemely sensitive m file flmles gNen
off during the self-cleaning cycle of any
range. Move birds to anofller well-
ventilated room.

How to Set the Oven for Cleaning
Follow tile directions in tile Before a
Clean Cycle section.
[77 Latch the dooL
NOTE:Never force the latch. If the oven is
me hot, you will not be able to slide the
latch. Allow the oven to cool.
[_ Touch tile SeffClean pad.
[_ Touch the + or- pads until the
desired Glean Time is displayed.
TheCleanTime is normally 4 hoursand20
minutes. Y ou canchange theCleantime toany
timebetween3 and5 hours, d epending on the
amount o f soilin youroven.
[-_ Touch tile Start/Onpad.
The self-clean cycle will automatical b,
begin after Clean is displayed and tile
time countdown appears in tile display:
While file oven is self-cleaning, you can
touch the Clock pad to display die time
of day: To return to the clean countdown,
touch
the Self Clean pad.
The oven shuts off automatically when
tlle clean cycle is complete, and 0:00 will
flash in tile display:
