Setting the RS232 interface

5.11 Setting the RS232 interface
In the center function group of the right table you will
find all functions for setting the serial interface RS 232.
If you connect a peripheral to the instrument via the
RS232 interface, you must always ensure that both
interfaces are configurated the same. This is the only to
guarantee error-free communication.
You can make the following settings for data transfer
(the default setting is indicated in bold type):
BAUD RATE Setting the transfer speed
• 300 Baud
• 600 Baud
• 1200 Baud
• 2400 Baud
• 4800 Baud
• 9600 Baud

LENGTH Setting the length of a byte
• 7 DATA BITS
• 8 DATA BITS
PARITY Parity check
• DISABLED
• EVEN
• ODD
Operation:
– Highlight the center function group in the center
function table with I.
– With M select the required setting for BAUD RATE,
LENGTH and PARITY.
