Management

The GUI application and CLI execute on a management workstation that provides for the configuration,
control, and maintenance of the mpx110. Supported platforms include Microsoft Windows, Solaris,
and Linux. The GUI application is installed and executed on the workstation.
The mpx110 supports the following management interfaces:
mpx Manager GUI Executes on a management workstation
CLI Executes on the mpx110 and is accessed using Telnet or the serial port (see
interface" on page 93)
SNMP Provides mpx110 status, traps, and alerts (see
tocol" on page 155)

Installing the management application

You can manage the mpx110 using the HP StorageWorks mpx Manager as a standalone application.
The mpx Manager software is available in the HP StorageWorks IP Distance Gateway software kit.
The Linux kit is provided in .tar format; the Windows kit is provided as a .zip file. The kits are
available at http://h18006.www1.hp.com/storage/networking/index.html.
