The banner mode setting is
on.
Paper feeding is crooked.
Cause
The edge guide of the sheet
feeder may not match the
paper's width.
There may be too much
paper in the sheet feeder.
You are printing on
oversized paper, and the
paper may be obstructed by
the output tray.
Single sheets are not loaded
far enough.
The paper may be old or
creased.
Make sure that your paper is
the proper size and quality.
Make sure the banner mode setting is
off. If this setting is on, the printer
feeds paper a specified length. Change
this setting using the default-setting
mode. See "Using the Default-Setting
Mode" in Chapter 8.
What to do
Adjust the edge guides.
Remove some paper.
Raise the output tray by extending the
legs under both sides of the tray to
keep enough clearance between the
output tray and paper support. See
"Loading oversized paper into the
sheet feeder" in Chapter 7.
Load a single sheet into the manual
feed slot until it meets resistance.
Use only new, smooth sheets of paper.
