Hit [POWER]. Hit [DVD].
When you are phying back a DVD
or an audio CD, turn on theTV
and be sure to select the input to
wNch the unit is connected.

Hit [OPEN/CLOSE _] to
open the disc tray.
The disc tray will open.

Hit [PLAY _] to start play=
back°
Playback will start.
ff you are playing back a DVD=Video
disc, a menu may appear.
Refer to page 43 for details about
a disc menu.

back°

In stop mode, hit [TOP MENU]
to ca[[ up the MP3 menu.
o Press [PLAY @], [ENTER] or
[@] to move to the lower hiero
archies.
° Press ['@] or [_ETURN _.a ]
to go to the previous hierarchy.
° Hit [STOP @] to return to the
first item.
oTo exit the menu, hit
[TOP MENU] again.

Press [A / _ to select a
desired folder (group) or track°
Hit lENTEn].
When selecting track:
Playback will start.
When selecting the folder:
The files in the folder will appear.
Press [A / _] to select the track
or folder you want, then hit
Hints for _P3 files:
° Folders are known as Groups,
files are known as Tracks.
o Folders are accompanied by
icon.
° HP3 files are accompanied by
icon.
Reproduction will start from the
selected track and go to the
next one
in turn,
oThe system can recognize up to
255 groups (or folders) and up to
255 tracks.
oThe name of the group and track
can be displayed in up to 29 char-
acters. Unrecognizable characters
will be replaced with asterisks.
o If there are no files in the folder,
"No Files" will be displayed.
This unit recommends the files
recorded under the following ciro
cumstances:
oSampling frequency: 44JkHz or
48kHz.
o Constant bit rate: 112kbps o
320kbps.

o Files whole extension other
than ".mp3 (HP3)" will not
