This is a simpHe way to set the
recording time in bHocks of 30
minutes. Check that the disc has
enough recordabHe space for the
time you set.
After finishing the recording, the
recorder automaticaHHy goes into
standby.
First:

Turn on the unit and load a
recordabie disc.
Make sure that theTV input is set
on the unit.

Using [REC SPEED], semect a
recording speed.
Refer to "Recording speed" on
page 25.

Nam<e sure that the recording
format is set to the desired
mode.
Refer to "Formatting a disc" on
pages 27=28.
When a DVD-RW disc is
moaded:
You can chooseVideo mode or
VR mode from the Setting menu.
"Video mode" has been selected
as the default. Refer to page 27
"Choosing the recording format
of a blank disc."
When a DVD-_ disc is loaded:
DVD-R discs wiHH always be in
Video mode.

Using
[CH _ / _] or the
Number buttons, select a
desired channel to record.

Nit [REC/OTR] repeatedly to
select a desired recording
time.
Recording time appears on the TV
screen (30 minutes to 8 hours).
Recording wiHHstart.

When the unit reaches the speci-
fied time, it wiHH turn off automati=
caHHy.
To change the recording time dur-
ing the one-touch Timer
repeatedHy unti[ the desired time
appear.
To cance[ the one-touch Timer
Recording within the specified
time, hit [STOP _J].

Recording. Hit [DISPLAY] to

° You cannot pause a one-touch
Timer Recording.
° UnHikea Timer Recording, you
can perform the following
operations durin_ a one-touch
Timer Recording.
- Turning off the power.
- Using [REC] and
[STOP @].
° The unit wiHH be turned off
automatically under the follow-
ing conditions.
1)No space remained on the disc.
2)When a power failure occurs.
• If OTR is finished in DVD dur-
ing playback or REC mode in
VCR, the DVD wiHH be in STOP
mode and theVCR keeps the
current m ode.
° When OTR is finished and the
power is turned off, the unit
wiHH switch to the standby
mode automaticaHHy if aTimer
Recording has been pro-
grammed. Hit [T-SET] to can-
cell the standby mode for using
the unit continuously.
