E-mail Options

Your PV Unit provides you with a number of e-mail options that you can turn on
and off so your mail send and receive operations are performed the way you
want. The following describes the meaning of each of the e-mail options and
what happens when it is turned on or off.
• The initial default setting for all these options is off (unchecked).
E-mail Options

Send mail then pick
up new mail.
Delete mail from host
upon receipt.
Confirm POP before
sending mail.
Skip large mail
messages.
Disconnect after 10
minutes.
Off (unchecked)
Mail waiting on the server
is ignored when you send
mail.
Mail is left on the host after
you pick it up.
POP certification is not
performed before mail is
sent.
All mail is picked up, regard-
less of size.
Telephone connection with
the host is maintained
indefinitely.
Chapter 8 E-Mail and SMS
On (checked)
Mail waiting on the server
is picked up when you send
mail.
• If the "Delete all mail."
option is checked, all mail
is deleted from the host,
regardless of whether or
not has been picked up.
• If the "Delete picked up mail
only." option is checked,
mail is deleted from the host
as soon as it is picked up.
POP certification is
performed before mail is
sent.
All mail messages that are
larger than the specified size
are skipped. You can specify
the maximum size by tapping
the L button and then select
a value from the list that
appears.
Telephone connection with
the host is broken
automatically 10 minutes
after it is established.
