Permanently lubricated tank mounted air compressor

PROBLEM
CAUSE
CORRECTION
Air leakfrom safety valve.
Possibledefect in safety valve.
Operatesafety valve manuallyby pullingon ring. If
valve stillleaks,it shouldbe replaced.
KnockingNoise
Remove and clean,or replace.
Decreaseamount ofair usage.
Compressor is not supplying
enough air to operate accesso-
ries.
Defectivecheckvalve.
Prolonged excessive use of air.
Compressoris not large enoughfor
air requirement.
Check the accessoryair requirement. If it is higher
than the SCFM or pressuresuppliedby your air
compressor, y ou need a largercompressor.
Hole in hose.
Motor will not run.
Regulatorknob has continuous
air leak. Regulatorwill notshut
off at air outlet.
Check valve restricted.
Air leaks.
Tankpressure exceeds pressure
switch "cut-in" pressure.
Wronggauge wire or lengthof
extension cord.
Check valve stuck open.
Looseelectricalconnections.
Paint sprayon internalmotor parts.
Possible defective motor,
Fuse blown, circuit breaker tripped.
Damaged regulator.
Check and replace.
Removeand dean, or replace.
Tighten fittings. (See Air Leaks Section of Trou-
bleshootingGuide.)
Motor will startautomaticallywhen tank pressure
drops below"cut-in" pressureof pressureswitch.
Check for propergauge wire and cord length.
Remove and clean, or replace.
Check wiringconnection inside pressure switchand
terminalboxarea.
Have checked at anAuthorizedWarrantyService
Center. Do not operatethe compressorin the paint
sprayarea. Seeflammable vaporwarning.
Have checked at an Authorized Warranty Service
Center.

Check fuse box for blown fuse andreplace, if
necessary. Resetcircuitbreaker. Do notuse a
fuse or circuit breakerwith higherratingthan that
specifiedfor your particularbranchcircuit.

Check for properfuse.
3.
Check for lowvoltage conditionsand/or proper
extensioncord.

Disconnect
the other electrical
appliances
from
circuit or operate the compressorin its own
branch circuit.
Replaceregulator.
