PERFORMING
REPAIRS MAY EXPOSE VOLTAGE SOURCES,
MOVING
PARTS OR COMPRESSED
AIR SOURCES,
PERSONAL INJURY MAY OCCUR.
PRIOR TO ATTEMPTING
ANY REPAIRS, UNPLUG THE COMPRESSOR
AND
BLEED OFF TANK AIR PRESSURE.
CORRECTION
Excessivetankpressure-
safety valve pops off.
Air leaks at fittings.
Air leaksat or insidecheck
valve,
Air leaksat pressureswitch
releasevalve(ifequipped).
PROBLEM
Pressure switch does not shut off
motor when compressor reaches "cut-
out" pressure.
Pressure
'"cut-out" too high.
Air leaks in air tank or at air
tank welds.
Pressure reading on the
regulatedpressure gauge
dropswhenanaccessory is
used,
Air leaks between head
and valve plate.
Tube fittings are not tight enough,
Defective or dirty check valve.
Defective pressure release valve.
Defective check valve.
Defectiveairtank.
It is normal for "some" pressure drop
to occur,
Leaking seal.
CAUSE
Move the pressureswitch leverto the "OFF" position.
If the outfit doesn't shutoff, unplug. If the electrical
contacts are weldedtogether, replacethe pressure
switch.
Returnthe outfit to anauthorizeddealerto check and
adjust, or replace switch.
"tightenfittings where air can be heard escaping,
Check fittingswith soapy water solution,DO NOT
OVERTIGHTEN.
A defective check valveresults in a constantair leak
at the pressurereleasevalve(ifequipped)whenthere
is pressurein the tank and the compressoris shut
off. Remove andcleanor replacecheck valve, DO
NOT OVERTIGHTEN.
Remove andreplacethe releasevalve.
A defective check valveresultsin a constantair leakat
the pressurereleasevalve when there is pressurein
the tank andthe compressoris shut off, Remove and
cleanor replacecheck valve, DO NOT OVER-
TIGHTEN.
Air tank must be replaced. Do not repair the leak.
DO NOT DRILL INTO, WELD OR OTHERWISE
MODIFY AIR TANK OR IT WILL WEAKEN, THE
TANK CAN RUPTURE OR EXPLODE.
If there is an excessive amount of pressure drop when
the accessory
is used, adJust the regulator
following
the instructions
on page 6.
NOTE
Adjust the regulated pressure under flow condi-
tions (while accessory is being
used).
Torque head screws to 7-10 ft. Ibs. If this does not stop
leak, replace seal.
