Choose the following settings for improved battery performance:
• b FACE DETECTION (P 89): OFF
• F AF MODE (P 90): r CENTER
• x POWER MANAGEMENT (P 104): n POWER SAVE

Silent Mode

Silent Mode
Silent mode (P 99) disables the speaker and fl ash in situations in
which camera sounds or lights may be unwelcome.

The Self-timer

The Self-timer
To prevent blur caused by the camera moving when the shutter button is pressed, use
the two-second timer.
