wheel

When p ractical,
remove gas-powered
equipment
from the truck o rtrailer and refuel
itonthe ground. Ifthis isnot p ossible,
then
refuel such e quipment
onatrailer with a
portable
container,
rather than from a
gasoline
dispenser
nozzle.
Keep the nozzle incontact with the rim ofthe
fuel tank o rcontainer
opening
atall t imes until
fueling iscomplete.
Do not u se anozzle lock-
open d evice.
Check fuel supply before starting engine.
DO NOT f illgasoline
tank indoors,
when
engine isrunning, orwhile e ngine ishot.
Allow e ngine tocool several minutes before
removing
fuel cap.
DO NOT o verfill. Allow a bout 1/4" ( 6mm) of
tank s pace for f uel e xpansion.
Replace
gasoline
tank c ap securely
and
clean a ny spilled fuel b efore starting engine.
Iffuel isspilled onclothing,
change clothing
immediately.
NEVER store f uel inside where there i san
open f lame, such a sawater heater.
ALWAYS
drain f uel outdoors
away from
ignition sources.
ALWAYS
shut offand remove key, engine
when t ransporting
unit o natruck o rtrailer.

Charge batteries

charger before connecting

Accidental
engine start up can cause death or
serious injury. Except where specifically
recommended,

remove key (electric start models),
wait for
moving parts t ostop, allow parts t ocool and
disconnect
spark plug w ire before inspecting,
servicing,
adjusting
orrepairing
unit.

Maintain

Follow e ngine manufacturer's

engine.
Check allhardware
atregular intervals,
especially
blade attachment
bolts. Keep all
hardware
properly tightened.
