NMS Overview

The ZyXEL NMS consists of the RS-1612 rack and a PC running
ZyView NMS software. Communication between the PC and the
RS-1612 rack takes place via an IP based network which is linked
by a LAN or a combination of LAN and WAN. ZyView identifies
each RS-1612 rack by their assigned IP address. Using this
dedicated IP address ZyView can send commands to and receive
status reports from the rack.
