9.2.2.6 Requesting a Certificate via Email

When you request digital ID information from someone, the application automatically attaches to the
email an FDF file containing your contact information and certificate.
To request a certificate from someone:
1. Choose Advanced (Acrobat) or Document (Adobe Reader) > Manage Trusted Identities.
2. Choose Request Contact.
3. Confirm or enter your identity so that the recipient can identify you. The identity panel is prepopulated
if the information has been previously as described in
4. Choose Include My Certificates to allow other users to add your certificate to their list of trusted
identities.
5. Choose whether to email the request or save it as a file.
6. Choose Next.
7. Select one or more digital IDs to export. Highlight contiguous IDs by holding down the Shift key.
Highlight non-contiguous IDs by holding down the Control key.
