After Effects > Preferences > Previews (Mac OS), and click OpenGL Info.
In After Effects CS5.5, and earlier, to modify the amount of texture memory, choose Edit > Preferences > Previews (Windows) or After
Effects > Preferences > Previews (Mac OS), click OpenGL Info, and enter a value for Texture Memory of no more than 80% of the installed
video RAM (VRAM) on your video card.
In After Effects CS6, the OpenGL renderer from After Effects CS5.5, and earlier, has been removed. OpenGL implemented in After Effects
CS6 is used for a number of features, from previewing footage, to ray-traced 3D compositions. For details, see,
