INSTALLATION Read this entire installation section before you GENERAL DESCRIPTION start installation. The K173-2 Magnum X-Tractor vacuum source is SAFETY PRECAUTIONS made up of a vacuum motor and control assembly, a Do not attempt to use this equipment until you have sheet metal filter cabinet with filter, and a metal spark thoroughly read all installation, operating and mainte- trap with an inlet pipe on it. -

Assembly vacuum unit. The hose adapter supplied will mate with any 1-3/4” (45 mm) exhaust hose. Lincoln Electric has 1-3/4” hoses for both regular duty (PVC flexhose S19947- ) and heavy duty (Reinforced rubber 14927-8) applica- tions. Simply connect the hose adapter to the hose and connect the adapter to the K173-2. -

OPERATION Read and understand this entire section before operat- OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS ing your Magnum X-Tractor 1GX. The 1GX vacuum can be operated in either the “On” or SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS “Auto” mode by selecting the desired operation at the rocker switch on the motor housing. In the “On” posi- tion, the vacuum will be on continuously. -

MAINTENANCE SAFETY PRECAUTIONS CAUTION WARNING EXCESSIVE AIR FILTER RESTRICTION WILL RESULT IN REDUCED VACUUM LIFE. ALWAYS •Have a qualified technician do the maintenance CHANGE THE FILTER AS SOON AS POSSIBLE and troubleshooting work.
