2.10 Symmetry of Looper Motion

The setting symmetry of looper motion means that the hook tip lies at
the middle of the needle with the machine arrested in slot E as well as
also in slot F.
The hook tip in slot E should be in front of and in slot F behind the
needle.
The hook movement is set with the gauge 6.
Caution Risk of Injury!
Before adjusting turn the main switch off.

Attach angle 1 and pointer 2 as shown in the illustration.
Arrest the machine in position E.

Align the pointer to the line marking on the angle.

Turn the handwheel to position F.
The pointer should make a pendulum movement to the left and
back to the line marking.

Loosen the attachment screws on the timing belt.
–
Turn the lower shaft so that the pointer 2 in slots E and F are
always over the line mark on the gauge.
–
Tighten the attachment screws of the timing belt pulley again.
