3. Change the engine oil.
4. Remove the spark plug and pour about a tablespoon
of clean engine oi! into the
cylinder.
Crank the engine several revolutions
to distribute
the oil, then reinstall
the spark plug.
Slowly pull the starter grip until resistance
is felt. At this point, the piston is coming up
on its compression
stroke and both the intake and exhaust valves are colsed. Storing
'
the engine in this position will help to protect
it from internal corrosion.
Align
the notch
on the starter
pulley
with
the hole at the top
of
the recoil
starter.
6. Cover the engine to keep out dust.
