Fan 5 may report a reading of 0 RPM after the BMC is updated

Problem
After a BMC update, fan 5 may not return an accurate reading until AC power
is cycled.
Implication
Intel
of 0 RPM for this sensor. The BMC may respond as though this fan has failed
and fan redundancy is lost. This causes the system fault LED and fan status
LED to indicate a failure for this sensor. In addition, the fans will run in a high
speed "boost" state.
Status
This erratum may be fixed in a future firmware revision.
Workaround
AC cycle the system again and the system should run normally.

The BMC may not respond to the IPMI command, Send Message sent via
LAN
Problem
The BMC may not respond correctly to a Send Message command from the
LAN channel to the IPMB channel. This issue only affects an IPMI 2.0 based
RMCP+ session not an IPMI 1.5 based RMCP session.
Implication
Remote IPMI over LAN software cannot forward commands to the IPMB bus.
Status
This erratum is fixed in BMC release 50 and later releases.
Workaround
Software developers should use IPMI 1.5 based sessions to bridge commands
to the IPMB channel.
