immediate update. Schedule automatic updates to handle routine virus
definitions files updating without requiring further interaction.
Update servers manually or automatically using the Virus Definition
Transport Method
You can update servers manually or automatically. Updates occur only when the
virus definitions files on a server are older than the definitions that are available
on the LiveUpdate server.
To update all unlocked servers in the system

In the Symantec System Center console, right-click System Hierarchy, and
then click Symantec AntiVirus > Update Virus Defs Now.

Click Yes in the confirmation dialog box.

Click OK in the status dialog box.
To update servers manually

In the Symantec System Center console, right-click a server or server group,
and then click All Tasks > Symantec AntiVirus > Virus Definition
Manager.

Select one of the following:
Update The Primary Server Of This Server Group Only: To update all
servers in the group from the primary server
Update Each Server In This Server Group Individually: To update
servers individually
