This feature allows the user to determine the number
of ring cycles which will be received before the
Answering Machine option (if activated) will respond
to the call.
Most cellular service providers have a pre-recorded
message which informs callers that you are away
from your phone or outside of the service area if you
have not answered after a limited number of rings. Be
certain that you set the number of rings for your
answering machine to be less than the number of
rings used by your cellular service provider. Also, if
you have a call forwarding feature from your carrier,
be sure to set the number of rings accordingly. When
purchased, your cellular phone's Answering Machine
will be set to answer incoming calls after the third ring.
If the number of rings is set higher than that required
by your cellular service provider, the call will be
disconnected from your cellular phone (and users will
hear the cellular service provider's pre-recorded
message).
