STARTING WARM ENGINE

The starting procedure is the same as Cold Start except DO NOT close
the choke.
NOTE
If engine does not start after 4 pulls, use Cold Start Procedure.
WARNING
Blades should not move at idle. If blades move, readjust carburetor
according to Carburetor Adjustment instructions in the manual or
see your ECHO dealer, otherwise serious personal injury may result.
1.
Ignition Switch - Start/Run. (All Models)
Move Ignition Switch lever/ button away from the STOP position.
2.
Primer - Pump Bulb. (All Models)
Pump primer bulb until fuel is visible in the "Clear" fuel return line.
3A. Starting (SHC-1700, 2100)
Lay the trimmer on a flat, clear area. Grip front handle interlock.
Place knee (light pressure) against upper drive shaft to hold power
head on the ground. Pull starter rope until engine fires.
3B. Starting (SHC-2400)
Lay the trimmer on a flat, clear area, clear area and pull starter rope
until engine fires.
3C. Starting (HCA-2400)
Lay the trimmer on a flat, clear area. Firmly grip the rear handle and
depress and hold the "Ignition/Throttle Interlock". Pull the starter
rope until engine fires.
NOTE
Idle/Start Interlock" must be held tight against the grip or engine
will stop at idle.
