2.
Primer - Pump Bulb.
Pump primer bulb until fuel is visible in the "Clear" fuel return line.
3A. Starting - (SCH-1700, 2100, 2400)
Lay trimmer on a flat, clear area and pull starter handle/rope (D)
until engine fires.
3B. Starting (HCA-2400)
Lay the hedge clipper on a flat, clear area. With left hand, firmly
grasp and hold the "Ignition/Idle Interlock" lever and throttle
trigger in wide open position. Rapidly pull starter handle/rope (D)
until engine fires.
NOTE
HCA-2400 "Ignition/Idle Interlock" must be held tight against the
grip or the engine will stop at idle.

STOPPING ENGINE

1.
Release Throttle. Allow engine to idle down and blades stop
moving with throttle trigger disengaged.
2.
Stop Switch - STOP. Move ignition switch button backward to
STOP position.
WARNING
If engine does not stop when stop switch is moved to STOP
position, close choke - COLD START position - to stall engine.
Have your ECHO dealer repair stop switch before using hedge
clipper again or serious personal injury may result.
