Internal SCSI Cabling of the

Controller/P and the Wide-
Ultra Controller/P
Refer to the following table and figure for an overview of cabling the 32-Bit
Fast-Wide SCSI-2 Controller/P and the Wide-Ultra SCSI Controller/P to the
internal SCSI devices. Table 4-2 assumes that the controller end of the Wide
SCSI cable has not been connected to the Integrated Wide-Ultra SCSI-3
Controller.
Cabling of 32-Bit Fast-Wide SCSI-2 Controller/P and
Wide-Ultra Controller/P to Internal SCSI Devices
NHP* Hard Drives
1. Locate the Wide SCSI cable. No additional
cables are required.
2. Connect controller end of Wide SCSI cable to
32-Bit Fast-Wide SCSI-2 Controller/P or Wide-
Ultra Controller/P board.
3. Connect wide to standard cable adapter to
device end of SCSI cable, if needed.
4 Connect an available connector on SCSI cable
to device(s).
5. Ensure SCSI ID uniquely set on each device.
6. Run System Configuration Utility.
