Page 225 8.11 Timeout for Manual Feeding fi-6140 / fi-6240 Image Scanner Operator's Guide TROUBLESHOOTING CONTENTS MAP 8.11 Timeout for Manual Feeding In manual feeding mode where you manually load documents sheet by sheet, you can scan multiple batches of documents continuously as a single file when you load the second stack of document before the timeout time after loading the first batch. The scanning terminates automatically when the time has elapsed, canceling the Timeout for Manual Feeding.

When enabling the mode, select the timeout period for manual feeding until loading the next document after the previous one. HINT In manual feeding mode, the scanner waits for the document to be loaded within the specified timeout period even when you start scanning with no document loaded in the ADF paper chute.
