You can add the Take Screenshot button to any panel. For information on how to do this, see
Section 1.3.4, "Adding Applets and Applications to the Panel," on page

Use shortcut keys
Press the Print Screen button to take a screen shot of the entire desktop. Press Alt+Print Screen
to take a screen shot of the currently active window or dialog box.
From the Application Browser
Click Computer > More Applications > System > Take Screenshot.
From a terminal
You can use the gnome-panel-screenshot command to take a screen shot. This
command takes a screen shot of the entire screen, then displays the Save Screenshot dialog box,
which you can use to save the screen shot.
You can use the following options with the gnome-panel-screenshot command:
--window: Takes a screen shot of the currently active window.
--delay=seconds: Takes a screen shot after the specified number of seconds, then displays the
Save Screenshot dialog box.
When you take a screen shot, the Save Screenshot dialog box opens. To save the screen shot as an
image file, enter the filename for the screen shot and choose a location from the drop-down list.

You can also use The GIMP to take screen shots. In The GIMP, click File > Acquire > Screen Shot,
select a Single Window or the Whole Screen, then click Grab.

1.14 Viewing PDF Files

Documents that need to be shared or printed across platforms can be saved as PDF (Portable
Document Format) files. SUSE Linux Enterprise Desktop ships with several PDF viewers, such as
Evince and Adobe* Acrobat* Reader.
