Public access code

In a PBX which does not automatically
obtain the exchange identification code,
the public access code may have to be
programmed (max. 4 digits).
Note:
With direct dialling (without off-line call
preparation), the public access code is not
dialled automatically. If a public access code
has been programmed, internal and
external calls are signalled with a different
ringing tone.
Incoming code
Some PBXs automatically insert the public
access code for an incoming call. With this
type of PBX you need to activate "Incoming
code", for callback from the calling-register
to function properly.
Autom. ECT
Switching with disconnect. You can test for
yourself whether you need to activate this
function:
During an inquiry switch your two call
partners by pressing the Connect key. If this
is not possible, you should activate
"Autom. ECT".
Autom. keypad
Activate "Autom. keypad" to be able to
send keypad information to the control
system of your PBX, after pressing the
Connect key.
Operation on
several base stations
If you use your handsets on several base
stations, e.g. at home directly on the base
connection and in the office behind a PBX,
you need to carry out the following "system
settings" for each handset on the respective
base station.

Directory entries

• Enter the call numbers with or without
area code.
• Any call number with 6 characters or
more is considered an "external"
number.
• For shorter call numbers (up to 5
characters) to be considered
"external" behind a PBX, activate
"Extern. number" at the respective
entry in "Options".
