Logging a handset onto a
third-party base station (GAP)
To log your handset onto a third-party base
station, the latter must support the GAP
generic access profile.
Prepare the third-party base station for log-
on according to the manufacturer's
instructions.
BaseStat. setting
Log on
On other system
1. Key in the designation of the base
station (A–D).
2. Now enter the 4-digit system code
(AC code) of the base station.
3. Press OK
Note:
The base station assigns the internal
number for the handset automatically.
The base station letter, e.g. A, appears on
the display to confirm that registration was
successful.
If registration was unsuccessful, an error
tone is heard and the letter A flashes.
GAP functions are described on page 33.
Logging a third-party handset
onto the base station
Another handset must support the GAP
generic access profile in order to be logged
onto your base station. Use your handset
to define an access code of your choice.

Log on
Other handset
1.
Specify a 4 to 8 digit access code
(AC), e.g. 12345.
2.
Key in the new internal call number
(1–6) of the handset.
Press YES
3.
Note:
If the internal call number used has
previously been allocated for logging on,
the handset first logged on will be logged
off.
