When Windows locates the correct drivers for the U.S. Robotics 56K Faxmodem USB, click Next. When Windows is finished installing the software, click Finish. Windows Me Windows Me will first need to install the Modem Enumerator.

    98SE/M /2000/XP O INDOWS PERATING YSTEM NSTALLATION Select the Software option from the GUI Interface on the Installation CD, select the ControlCenter option, and click Install. When the “Choose Setup Language” dialog box appears, select from the drop-down menu the language of your choice and click OK. The ControlCenter software allows you to configure your V.92 modem settings and automatically notifies you of any updates to your modem’s code.

    NINSTALL NSTRUCTIONS Step 1: Uninstall the modem drivers using the Add/Remove Programs. Windows 98SE Click Windows Start, Settings, and Control Panel. Double-click Add/Remove Programs. Click the Install/Uninstall tab. Select U.S. Robotics 56K Faxmodem USB and click Remove. Windows Me Click Windows Start, Settings, and Control Panel. Double-click Add/Remove Programs.

    ROUBLESHOOTING If you have any difficulty with your modem, first make sure that it was installed correctly. Windows 98SE/Me: Click Windows Start, select Settings, and then click Control Panel. Double-click the Modems icon. In the “Modems Properties” screen, you should see a description for your modem.

    ROUBLESHOOTING PROBLEM: My software isn’t recognising my modem. Possible solution: Your communications software may not function properly if you have more than one version of the software installed, you are using an older version, or you have more than one communications software package installed on your system.
  • Page 11 ROUBLESHOOTING PROBLEM: My modem sounds like it’s trying to connect to another modem but fails. Possible solution: You may have a poor connection. All calls are routed differently, so try placing the call again. PROBLEM: My modem drops the ISP connection when I accept incoming calls.

    ROUBLESHOOTING • The second enhancement is “Quick Connect”, which permits quicker dial-up connections by allowing the modem to remember the line conditions of a service provider that supports V.92. The first time that you connect with your service provider, the modem will perform the full training sequence and store the information it receives.

    EHLERBEHEBUNG Falls Sie Schwierigkeiten mit Ihrem Modem haben, vergewissern Sie sich zunächst, dass es richtig installiert ist.     ÉPANNAGE Si vous rencontrez des problèmes avec votre modem, assurez-vous tout d'abord qu'il est correctement installé. Avec Windows 98SE/Me : cliquez sur Démarrer, Paramètres puis sur Panneau de configuration. Double-cliquez sur l'icône Modems. A l'écran des propriétés du modem, vous devriez voir une description de votre modem. Cliquez sur l’onglet Diagnostics. Assurez-vous que le bon modem est en surbrillance.

    ROBLEMEN OPLOSSEN Als uw modem problemen vertoont, dient u eerst te controleren of de modem goed geïnstalleerd is. Er staat een beschrijving van uw modem in het venster Modemeigenschappen.
