Handset Operation
MID - Mid-Range sounds enhanced
(This is the recommended setting for
hearing aid users)
TREBLE - High Frequency sounds
enhanced
NATURAL - No frequency
enhancement (Your Handset is
preset with this selection)
The Handset will graphically display the four modes.
NOTE: The Sound Select feature can't be use when in
Speakerphone or Headset talking mode.

Mute Function

During an active call pressing either the MUTE soft
key on the Handset or the MUTE softkey on the Base
(when in Speakerphone mode), will disable the
microphone. Press MUTE again to return to normal
2-way conversation.

Hold Function

From the Handset :
• Press the HOLD soft key to place a call on hold. To
return to the call, press the ON (or SPEAKERPHONE)
key.
Note: The Handset will display CALL ON HOLD when a
call is placed on hold. If you have new calls in call log,
"CALL ON HOLD" will display alternately. After 5 seconds,
An H will be displayed to remind you a call is on hold.
If a call remains on Hold for 5 minutes, your i 5801 will ring to remind you the call is
being held. The phone will display Call On Hold Ring Back! You have 30 seconds to
return to the call before it is dropped.
