All Folders Pane—On the left.
Displays a list of your
computer's drives and folders.
Contents Pane—On the right.
When a folder is highlighted in
the All Folders Pane, the files
and folders in that folder
appear in the Contents Pane.
Click the Expand/Collapse button
to expand or collapse a folder.
A plus sign (
) means the
+
listing can be expanded to
display additional folders.
A minus sign (
–
listing can be collapsed so that
folders beneath it are not
displayed.
Folders without buttons
indicate there are no
subfolders.
Click a selection check box to select or deselect files and folders.
An empty check box means the drive, folder, or file has not been selected
for backup or restore.
A blue checkmark means one or more items in a folder have been selected
for backup or restore.
A gray checkmark means that some, but not all, of a drive or folder has been
selected.
A red X means that the file's type has been excluded. See
page 36
