Using Keys and Buttons

The following table lists the keyboard keys, pen-based keys, and tablet
buttons for running BIOS Setup and provides their functions.

Button
Function
Displays key legend for moving the cursor
and selecting parameters.
Esc
Exits a sub-menu or exits the current screen
and prompts "Discard changes and exit
setup?"
UP
Moves the cursor between the displayed
DOWN
parameters.
Selects the Setup menu screen.
Changes the value for the selected
item/field.
Enter
Moves the cursor between subfields. For
example, for System Time, Tab moves the
cursor from hour to minute to second.
Goes to the top of the screen
Goes to the bottom of the screen.
Enter
Brings up a parameter sub-menu.
Opens an alpha numeric keypad for entering
letters and numbers. SHT allows upper and
lower case letters.
Discards changes.
Loads optimal default settings.
Saves and exits the BIOS Setup utility.
