Word Mode

For Word text entry at the Draft screen or text editor screen, press Softkey 1 (Mode) and 3. "Word" appears in the Softkey 1 indicator.
Word mode entry is fast, easy and intuitive text input. Press one key per letter in a word. The phone predicts or guesses what you are writing. If more than one word shares
the same numeric entry sequence, the most commonly used word displays highlighted. For example, to enter the word "show," spell out the word by pressing four keys: 7,
4, 6, and 9. This function recognizes that the most commonly used word matching that numeric entry sequence is "show."
Press 0 to insert a space after a word.
Press the
(Asterisk Symbol) to toggle/switch between lower case (word), upper case for one letter and return to lower case text entry (Word), and all capital letters
(WORD). The type of case letter entry displays on the Softkey 1 indicator.
Press the
(Number Symbol) key to go to the next possible word.
The LF symbol stands for "Line Feed" (hard return added within the text), and the SP symbol stands for "Space" (space added within the text).

Symbol Mode

In the Symbol text entry, the screen displays the available symbols that you may select.
Position the cursor where you want to input the symbol. If a word is highlighted in word mode text entry, move the cursor to the end of the word. The symbol mode cannot
be used if a word is highlighted.
Press the
(Number Symbol) key in normal entry, word mode entry, and numeric entry to display the symbol screen. Press Softkey 1 (Mode) and 4 to display the
symbol screen for all text entry modes.
Scroll to and highlight the desired symbol. Press Softkey 1 (OK) or

Emoticons

In the Emoticons text entry, the screen displays available facial expressions of emotion that you may select.
Position the cursor where you want to input the emoticon.
Press Softkey 1 (Mode) and 5 to display the Emoticons screen.
