ADJUSTING THE REAR BRAKE
CONTROL LEVER AND THE GEAR
LEVER
The control levers are positioned ergonom-
ically during the assembly of the vehicle.
If necessary, it is possible to adjust the po-
sition of the levers.

Position the vehicle on the stand, see p.
58 (POSITIONING THE VEHICLE ON
THE STAND).

Partially unscrew the screw (1).
◆
Rotate the eccentric (2) in order to find
the optimal position of the pedal (3).
◆
Tighten the screw (1) and make sure that
the eccentric is stable in its position.
If it is necessary to further adjust the
gear lever, contact an aprilia Official
Dealer.
AUTOMATIC LIGHT SWITCHING
VERSION $
The vehicles provided with this device can
be immediately recognized, since the lights
come automatically on as soon as the igni-
tion switch is turned to position "B".
For this reason, no light switch is provided.
The lights can be switched off only by turn-
ing the ignition switch to position "C".
Before starting the vehicle, make sure that
the dimmer switch is in position "L E"
(front low beam).
EXHAUST SILENCER/EXHAUST
TERMINAL
Tampering with the noise control sys-
tem is prohibited.
Owners are warned that the law may pro-
hibit:
– the removal or rendering inoperative by
any person, other than for purposes of
maintenance, repair or replacement, of
any device or element of design incorpo-
rated into any new vehicle – for the pur-
pose of noise control – prior to its sale or
delivery to the ultimate purchaser or
while it is in use;
– the use of the vehicle after such device
or element of design has been removed
or rendered inoperative by any person.
Check the exhaust silencer and the silenc-
er pipes, making sure that there are neither
signs of rust, nor holes and that the ex-
haust system works effectively.
If the noise produced by the exhaust sys-
tem increases, immediately contact your
aprilia Official Dealer.
